drought

somewhere between Benedict and Cole Harbor, North Dakota

the summer of 2017 was an unusually hot and dry one in the region...many dead trees bore witness to the severe drought conditions that prevailed across N. Dakota last year

The rain has stayed away here too. It’s quite scary. Very nice reflections. V

It's disheartening to see trees dying from the impact of climate changes...an excellent capture with nice clear reflections....V

Seems that planet earth is under assault as this well taken image shows. V

I'm afraid we have to see this kind of "new earth" more and more... The image is stunning with this contrast between the flourishing grasses and the bare trees.V.

Sad to see the consequence of drought. Though a fine image.

An interesting and unusual (at least for me) scene with these bare trees growing in the water.

A fine capture of this sad situation, although the area looks beautiful.

Unbelievably the same thing is happening here - lots of sad looking trees.

Sad to see the damage a drought can bring. That being said, this is a pretty scene with the reflections in the water and the greenery in the foreground.

Unfortunately this scenario is playing out in CA as well. After years of draught the trees' natural defense against the bark beetle has been diminished and many trees are dying due to infestation.

nice dispaly of colors and lovely reflections.V.

The weather this year has be brutal! Looks like a nice area to spend some time...

Nicely composed scene, we have hosepipe bans predicted here due to the ongoing heatwave.
