glare

Death Valley NP, California

exploring the extensive (see previous) Badwater Basin means confronting the huge, flat expanse of valley floor...glare from the reflective salt crystals is incredible...still, hardy photographers visiting in mid-winter seemed to find myriad close-up details while checking out the salt pan's crunchy surface

this is the lowest point in North America, with an elevation of 282ft (86m) below sea level

Great candid and what a location to shoot a candid. Reminds me of the old Miscellany photos, the last photo in each issue of Life magazine. Vote.

Great layers and love the snow on the mountain tops. The intrepid photogs look rather small compared to the vastness. V

The place does look immense. The people and the mountains give a wonderful sense of scale to the photo.

The scale of the men adds something as compared with their surroundings

It looks like everyone is out playing in the snow. Great documentation of what goes on there as well as the view. I was one of those guys.

I can imagine that must have been brilliant, but you have captured it quite well here, with both a lovely backdrop and intrepid photographers.
