shocks

Powell Street

in one of those shocks that arrive occasionally, the same hot weather system that is baking the southern USA has spread up here, with the back porch thermometer reading 39C (102F) this afternoon...planning ahead, I picked up lots of salad ingredients yesterday, and also some Dive Bomb Porter from the Powell Street Brewery, which is located in this industrial area

That is Ottawa weather you're having now! This is a whimsical and amusing shot, with a fine colour palette! V

I like it!

What a great shot! I do not recall to have seen that many industrial areas looking so neat and clean. BV

You have made a car repair place look very attractive in this image. The colors all go so wonderfully together and the chain link fence pulls your eye right into the photo. Keep cool and enjoy your Porter! V

Shocking temperature! Very good idea to keep hydrated.

Great composition from this vantage point. Sounds like you're well prepared for the heat wave. "V"

Same in the Southern Interior, David. Not sure about salad, :)
the porter sounds great and I love the name.

The shock comes when it's time to replace them and the invoice arrives.

Seems this summer will be short but hot here too...v.

Now that is a shock. Glad you were finally able to get the DB Porter.
Neil Marcus01-Jul-2013 02:55
Dive Bomb Porter. That is an interesting name. If we have occasion I'd like to try that.
Your 102F was hotter than here in KS. Hope it cools off for you. Eating salad every night might get old.
Jean D01-Jul-2013 02:42
Keep cool and it sure looks like one of those crazy summers...

David, I am sorry that I called you Sam. It is just one of those senior moments. Gary.

Sam, great image. I feel bad since our temperatures have been in the 70's, today. We are suppose to stay between 75 and 82 for the next three or four days. Hope you stocked up with enough beer!!!!!! V.

I hope they do all three in the same bay. The bottom of the shocks door can use some repair itself. A fine shot of this industrial scene! V
