Snowvember

not the prettiest view, yet it's one I confront every day...an unusually early snowfall hit overnight Friday, and the local media went into near hysterics, referring to the month as Snowvember, even though it was only a light dusting, and soon began melting

L'Automne s'en va, l' hiver s'en vient ... j'aime bien ! V

I agree, sensationalism even in weather reporting. V

Blow, blow, thou winter wind
Thou art not so unkind
As man's ingratitude;
Thy tooth is not so keen,
Because thou art not seen,
Although thy breath be rude.

Just a dusting and I can still see pretty colors on the trees and a lovely blue sky. The media does tend to overreact when it comes to snow. A hard winter makes spring even prettier.

Love the title, David, and that's quite a selection of lines you've captured here!

I am surprised in canada this even waarrents being called snow! Mind if you had this in London it would grind to halt! I am desperately waiting for the stuff - I love it, this time last year we accumulated 21 inches from 22nd Nov. Bring it on:-)

Sounds pretty much like the media here, there were some dire forecasts at the end of the summer that we were going to get another 'big freeze' this winter, but so far it's been dull, wet and mid. But the first snowfall always looks pretty.

A bit of snow always fires up the media :o)

Typical media reaction ;-)

Here we go again, another winter, another hibernation season. Stay warm, David.

A fine shot of the early dusting of snow, we have had none yet this year.

It`s always nice to see first snow, even if the winter is so close.

Lots to see in this photo. Funny how the media has nothing better to do than to create a Tempest in a Teapot.

What a pretty dusting! :)
We beat you to the punch as our first snowfall occurred in October!
