Westham Island, Ladner, B.C.

thousands of these snow geese arrive each year from their home base on Wrangel Island, north of Siberia...and spend the winter in the milder climate of Vancouver...they can often be seen foraging in farmer's fields near a local bird sanctuary that also offers them a safe haven

Interesting comment.soon I go to see the same near my home.The birds(cranes) come from Finland actually.We always are in interrogation how and why when we see this scenery.V
