Thanks again for your reply and compliments. I am a little less sure of my abilities but I am grateful that people appreciate my efforts.

I really would like to be able to slip into the points, just enough to avoid the crowds, yet not enough to get in the way at all. I lost so many shots due to not having the best position, or due to having people in my way.

I would also like to be around when they did practises, so I could familarise myself with the route a lot better. I already know it pretty well but there were bits I did not get close to, where I should have been!

Very impressive use of a Sony camera - good on you!

I hope to gain permission to take photographs from amongst the performers next time, rather than in the crowds, so that I can do the same.

thanks karo! sorry i didn't get any pics of Air Point, i would have loved to but as i was "stuck" in the procession behind the drummers and bluemen and our viewpoint was blocked by spectators i didn't get to see much... but as im finding out there are a lot of people there who are now posting their goods online for all of us to gander :)
i've got other pics of you too somewhere in my collection from @ the meadows and whatnot, i'll get those up asap and let you know!

Helloo helloo to you and all the rest of fenfire! Your photos of the festival are absolutely amazing! It was wonderful to see them. it was so much fun meeting you guys and hopefully our paths will cross again! the summer simply burst into blossom a few days after beltane, i dont know if you guys had the chance to see the meadows in their full flowery glory.. if not i took a few photos, they're on Flickr (www.flickr.com), my screen name is Karo* . :)
