Cockatoo fight

Canberra ACT Australia

Sulphur-crested cockatoos are common and vocal birds in the Canberra area. Sometimes, people feed them (not me, I hasten to
add). The have-nots conflict with the haves amongst many animals and I was lucky enough to capture this conflict between two
birds not normally known for their fighting prowess.

The two cockatoos in the photo are very likely to be parent and child. The child (on the right of photo) approached the parent (on the left) from a lower down position, which is a typical way young birds beg parents for food. :)

Very nice shot, Alexander. I can assure Yvonne that umbrella cockatoos are noisy and destructive too!

We have plenty of them here too, noisy destructive birds.
Magnificent capture of this pair!
