Carnage on the road provides a tempting feeding ground for scavengers such as the Wedge-tailed eagle. Unfortunately as these
birds are so heavy they often have to fly into the wind- and if the wind is blowing towards them from the other side of the road
they can easily fall victim to traffic themselves. Slow down for eagles, and if it is safe, take carcasses off the road.
