Total Lunar Eclipse

Kaltenleutgeben

00:22 CET : the moon is already deep in the penumbra, a darking of the upper right part is detectable
00:32 CET : the moon enters the core shadow (umbra) of the earth
00:37 - 01:41 CET : stages of the partial phase
02:09, 02:19 CET : totality, the moon is completely in the core shadow, only illuminated by sunlight refracted and filtered by earth's atmosphere. The moon was still very close to the edge of the core shadow, so the left part was brighter.
02:31 CET: end of totality, the very left edge is already lit by sunlight

Canon EOS 10D
Camera mounted on an Intes Micro MN76 180mm/f6 ( = focal length 1080mm). The partial phase was shot with ISO100 1/160sec, totality with 2sec. full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Real neat seeing your perspective. I went out using a 2x on a 300mm with the 1.5 of my CCD and only caught about 900mm but thought my coloring was un-natural. I'm happy to see that you got about the same feel Thanks for the details.
