This part of the constellation Cygnus is one of the star richest areas visible from the northern hemisphere. The Milky Way runs straight through it and offers some showpieces like the North America nebula ( NGC7000) to the right, part of the nebulosity around Gamma Cygni ( IC1318, the Butterly nebula) in the middle of the very bottom and the galactic star cluster NGC6940 in the lower left part. In the middle, half way to the left you can even see both arcs of the Veil nebula, a supernova remnent.
The bright star in the lower right corner is Deneb ( Alpha Cygni).
