NGC 6357 - Lobster Nebula in Scorpius

Tivoli/Namibia

This large emission nebula is about 8000 Lyrs away in the constellation Scorpius. The center of the nebula is home of the star cluster Pimis 24, who houses some of the most massive stars known in our galaxy. with more than 100 times the mass of our sun.
