Connections? It is full of them. The child connects to the adult physically by placing his hand on her shoulder. The eyes, as somebody else has noted, are virtually the same. They both wear their hair as bangs over the forehead. But the differences are fascinating as well -- the scale of the faces contrast strongly. The woman is mature, child still in the process of being formed. One has an ear out to listen, the other does not. Both heads merge at the hair, two becoming one. Lovely people, together in a moment of time in an image that could well outlast the limits of their own memories.
