Michael Shpuntov

This is St, James Church in Toronto. Some people in this group may remeber same shot from a year ago. This is gorgeous church, but unable to get it in full size from any angle without cloning out 40-50 different electric wires crossing it in the air. You can't shot it from close too since it's very tall (150 feet or so) and won't feet any frame from the distance where you can avoid wires. So I decided to go wild. I shot it from just 30 feet distance. It's not one shot. I though about Michel T idea to use panorama instead of extreme wide angle lens. BTW, only fish-eye can take this shot (not any wide angle lens). It's three horisontal shots stitched vertically. One at 10 degree, second about 35 degrees and third about 70 degrees to horizon. This created huge distortion, that I have to correct with PS "warp" transformation.

Great job, Michael. Looks like you picked the perfect day weather-wise for the shot.

Michael, I agree - it was worth all your extra efforts. This is truly beautiful! Bet you could sell it to the church or the town.
