Preparing the Butterfly Meadow for planting

This patch of land has just been rototilled to break up the roots of the invasive Dog-strangling Vine (Pale Swallowwort), so that they can be removed and the land prepared for planting. This is only one section of the butterfly meadow. To the right is an area that was created a few years ago, and behind where I'm standing to take the photo, is another large and much older section of the meadow, well established with plants.
