I have been very fortunate to have been invited by Bartosz to visit a place he loves very much:
Connemara, on the west coast of Ireland.
Some years ago I visited the city of Galway and its environs, but unfortunately we did not get to discover the wild wonders of Connemara.
I had seen some of Bartosz's fine landscape photos of this beguiling place and I was delighted to accept his kind invitation to visit there.
In effect, my visit there was very good for me.
It was like a retreat that allowed me to commune with nature, and to reflect on deeper things.
Sometimes I can get carried away with the joyful frivolity of being a bear guest, but now and again I realise we all need time for quiet reflection, for appreciating the natural wonders of this world, for discovering what is truly important to us.
My sojourn in Connemara provided the ideal opportunity for this.
