Greenwich Village Art Show - Circa 1957

New York City, NY

My son just unearthed this image - an old faded 8x10 "Type C" print.
I originally printed it on Kodak Paper using Uni-Color Chemicals and a drum.
A slide (positive) was also made from the Eastman color negative.
The film negative and positive were process with motion picture
film developing equipment, located where I was stationed as a 1st Lt
at the Army Pictorial Center, Long Island City, NY. Every spring Greenwich
Village would have a large outdoor art show extending over several
blocks. Made this shot when I was taken with the artist placing bricks on
his art work to keep it from blowing away. Today, it took about 4 hours to
spot and bring and this image back to life close to the original exposure.

Nikon 35mm S-2 Rangefinder,Nikon 50mm 1.4 Lens
Eastman Kodak 35mm motion picture negative film. Exp etc NA
ASA was I think 25. full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto
