  • The round window in the dance hall where we have tango lesson every Sunday always casts a cool shadow. I made my husband walk into the light. I like how there's just a bit of the outline of his leg visible on the right side (didn't notice that until I uploaded the photo), but overall I think it's still a bit static. Maybe I can convince him to try again with me next week.

I'm with Bill on this one. I think it's Sam Spade, walking in to smack the truth out of someone.

Excellent photo! It reminds me of a mystery where you don't know the identity of the person who committed a crime.

I agree with Jeanne and Ray - this is a really eye-catching and dynamic image in it's own right. Great positionong of the legs in one quadrant of the circle and the predominant shoadows with the highlight on the trousers (pants?) works really well. Just spectacular!

This is fantastic!! Don't change a thing! I'm so impressed with this shot. I love the 4 quarters of the circle, how he and his shadow are just in the one. WOW!

Franziska: maybe you think it looks static because you know its in a dance class. But here I see a spooky man (sorry!) creeping up in the darkness, and to very good effect. The light on his trouser front is important. You have done well here.
