George Laithwaite
20 min. 35mm B&W neg and optical track - 1963
I have been working on the 35mm Bw neg processing algorithms.
Please note all of these frames were processed with exactly the same setting. Realistically this film would/should have been notched several places during printing. Much more easily done in the digital age.
Film is in great condition.

Laithwaite Apple Park farm near Goderich has fascinated visitors for four generations with its many sculptures fashioned from cement, metal, fieldstone and found materials by George Laithwaite (1873-1956). Some of his human figures were created as satirical or political commentary on world events, while others were based on comic strip characters. In 1945 George Laithwaite erected a stone coach house which served as his studio. Most of his statues were created as a hobby during slow economic times. The uniqueness and diversity of these statues has made Apple Park a local landmark. Visitors are welcome to view the statues on three acres of lawn, set among over 350 trees. Laithwaite Apple Park also offers a farm store selling seasonal products. Laithwaite Apple Park is located just east of Goderich on Highway #8.
