Adult Laughing Gull briefly observed while co-leading KSU Ornithology field trip to Rocky Ford State Fishing Area and the Willow Lake Campground. The bird was flying with a flock of Bonaparte's and Franklin's Gulls above the agricultural fields next to Rocky Ford's heritage trail. This sighting occurred during a strong south wind that had lasted a couple of days. Notice the all black primaries which distinguishes this individual from the other hooded gulls in the vicinity.
