I really don't know that much, but thank you for the compliment....I do have books, however. It is a Monarch larva. Here is how the book describes them...."Ringed with yellow, black, and white bands. Pair of fleshy tentacles in front and back". great capture.

its a monarch catepillar! they make beautiful chrysilys's (tho i have no clue how to spell it) when they are turning into a butterfly. they are amazingly beautiful and soft and i havent seen them for so long! hehe
