Give: To place in the hands of; pass; to entrust to another, usually for a specified reason
Take: To accept (something owed, offered, or given) and place under one's care or keeping to handle,
or deal with in a particular way.
Great Blue Heron Facts: During the nest building process the male heron finds sticks or branches and
presents them to the female, which she either accepts or rejects. If she accepts the offerings she
works them into the structure of the nest. Herons build their one-metre-wide nests out of small
branches, sometimes lining the bottom with pine needles or moss. If possible they will reuse a nest,
adding new branches to it each year. Older nests can be recognized by their larger size.
