Floathomes…..people have been living and doing business from floating structures
(as opposed to boats) throughout British Columbia’s modern history, some 150
years. More than any other dwelling, floathomes reflect the spirit of their
owners. People who chose this way of life are generally a relaxed group who share
a desire to ‘live life to its fullest’, have a respect for Mother Nature, and
a passion for the water. This shared philosophy brings them together as a
cohesive community in the coves, harbours and even metropolitan areas of Vancouver Island.
