It looked like the swans were practicing their take-off and landing skills as they circled around the field. Could be some of the eagles hanging out in the trees were making them nervous. Trumpeter Swan facts: Trumpeter Swans are not bothered by the cold. They have up to 35,000 feathers and their downy layer is up to 2 inches thick.
