Gifford Pinchot N.F. - Silver Star/Sturgeon Fin

This was an early August visit to Silver Star and the formation on its rocky basalt spur ridge which is aptly named Sturgeon Fin. Conditions were sunny but hazy and the wildflowers were quite plentiful though many were now dry and withered. The photos:

eric - your ridgeline trail shot is the ultimate type of mountain vista. mountains at all points in the depth of view. this place could be shot at dawn , dusk and midday on sunny, partl;y cloudy and lightly foggy days as well in snow. and at any point along the trail where these series of mountains can be seen with the big mountain as backdrop. this is a great photo. if you care to view my gallery, please paste this address into your browser: davidwrunyanii.blogspot.com
