As you emerge from the gully stretch the forest thins and you come out into a shoulder area with some nice green trees, at least one sets of ponds and the first views of the namesake granite. This is that basin area seen here. The greens are decent enough as far as color. There is not really a subject in this shot so to speak but it is fine as is I think.
