This lookout was probably in the best shape of any that I have seen. It must have been fixed up pretty recently. The solar panel also probably implies that it being maintained and fairly recently at that. Some of the lookouts have refurbished exteriors similar to this one. However, this was far and away the cleanest most modern interior that I had seen. No junk that looked like it was fifty years old and needed to be duct taped together. And exceptionally clean. It was still used at least part of the time this summer based on the log entries and it very accessible both to the FS shed below and the Entiat ranger station so that may be why it is in such good condition.
