M-15, a globular cluster in Pegasus, is about 33,000 light years away and is one of the most densely-packed of this type of cluster. This image is a combination of 5 exposures of 3 minutes each with a Nikon D300 and a Sigma 500mm f/4.5 lens with a 2X teleconverter. It was taken from my light-polluted backyard in Whitefish Bay, Wis., on Aug. 18, 2009.
