M-52, an open cluster in Cassiopeia, is about 5,000 light-years away. To the right is the hydrogen alpha cloud NGC-7635, also known as the Bubble Nebula. The photo was taken with a Nikon F3 and a 8-inch f/6.2 Newtonian reflector. The photo was taken with Fuji 200 negative film and hand-guided with an off-axis guider. It was taken from a light-polluted location in Whitefish Bay, Wis.
