Sevilla Tiles In St.Francisco Cathedral, Lima

These tiles were brought to Lima from Sevilla, Spain to be laid on the wall of cathedral. I am pretty sure that masons were punch drunk when they decorated the wall, look at orientation of tiles on the left and complete mismatch...

The masons were probably indian slaves who had just chewed a pound of coca leaves ;-)
But nevertheless...beautiful tiles !
