This fabulous Nero D'Avola comes from Sicily at relatively modest price at around $12 CND, yet it's considered to be one of the best vintages on the Italian market. Heavily bodied with very dark ruby gamma , exclusively charming in nose with strong accent of violets and wild plums, it's definitely one of the best Italian wines. The bouquet is absolutely wonderful with dominant hints of cacao beans mixed with cinnamon, add just a bit of hazelnuts to complete a picture ! Highly recommended with mashed and peppered yukka mixed with chives and roasted garlic, complimentary to white wine roasted pork medallions garnished with roasted balsamic herbs and fried peas, holy macaroni !
