Yah, Ann, there is very fearsome fight going on for these coockoo's clocks, almost Olympic games, LOL. Coockoo is mockingbird in English :-)

Beautiful shot...perfect detail & colouring......What's a coockoo? I have not heard of this bird?? There is another largest cuckoo clock in the world, not far from this, in Schonach. Will have to consult the Guiness Book of Records on this!

Michael, I wish this smoke was truly holy one and the whole intent of this structure had more spiritual orientation as per your assumptions, unfortunately it’s not and far more prosaic… You see, we are in Germany whereas every single building is designed and built to disguise and hide a beer brewery, and this cuckoo clock is not an exception. The owner is proudly brewing own beer while fooling around naïve tourists who sincerely believe in this fake ! As for accuracy of the clock, it is very accurate, I checked this against my Tissot , as minute hand is being moved by increment of 10 minutes by the guy who sits inside the clock and brews beer meanwhile. I am not sure if they supply this beer to pope though, but you might ask this question next time when you pass by…

Hello Eldar. No doubt this is a fine and interesting photo.... and there is a lot more going on here than meets the eye.... what is brewing inside the clock that white, gritty smoke flumes out of the chimney? Is this the new place where the Vatican elects the new pope? But a more important question burns in my mind... the world's largest coockoo clock... does it keep good time? Ha! All my best, Michael.
