The panorama from Cardada-Cimetta (5600 ft - Lake Maggiore region) is breathtaking, embracing the vast expanse of the Alps and stretching to the Italian plains. It is the starting point for many delightful walks in the mountains or for the hang-gliders. I took this panorama at april 24.

Die Alp Cardada-Cimetta (1672 m) ist ein unvergleichlicher Aussichtspunkt hoch über dem Maggia-Delta: frei schweift der Blick von den Hochalpen über den Lago Maggiore und Hügelketten bis hinunter zur Po-Ebene. Sie bildet einen idealen Ausgangspunkt für Bergwanderungen und ist ein Paradies für Gleitschirmflieger. Die vorliegende Aufnahme entstand am 24. April 2001 um ca. 11 Uhr mittags.
