Backyard Color

Tuesday the 13th of November I looked out my window in the morning. The sun was shining nicely and I was struck by the vivid colors, even though I had thought that this area was past "peak color" for the season.
I picked up the Voigtlander Vitessa T, which was already loaded with Walgreens ASA 200 print film, and went out the studio door. Before long I had exposed the entire roll, within leaving my own yard.

The Vitessa T dates to 1957. It is a rangefinder 35mm design with interchangable lens mount system. This one came from my friend in Northwest England, fitted with the desirable Color-Skopar f:2.8/50mm lens. Shutter is a Synchro Compur behind-the-lens leaf type with range of 1 second to 1/500. Film is advanced by pumping the tall plunger rod down in a single stroke. This film transport works quite well in action. I found the lens, focus, and shutter controls just a bit awkward in their placement, and I had to look to see what I was doing with them. The aperture scale is not visible from above. Overall, I found the camera solid and capable, but just a bit gawky.
Results were crisp in their rendition.
