STONEFLIES TALIA

Due to the Marcelus Shale drilling, there was poison spilled into Dunkard Creek, near to where we live. Headed by Ann Payne, a group of about 60 artist in the area, got together to create a piece of art representing the loss of life in Dunkard creek. Talia was givin the Stonefly to research. The Stonefly goes through several stages in it's life. When the Stonefly is present in a stream it is a sign of a healthy watershed. This piece was created using plexy glass engraving on handmade paper made from ramps. Paper created by Annabelle PatuniaHead.
