6/29/07 - Limberlost Trail

A handicapped accessible trail in Shenandoah National Park - near milepost 43 on Skyline Drive. If you look down the trail near the bench you'll see tracks left by a wheelchair.
I enjoy searching out interesting angles and perspectives for otherwise ordinary scenes. As soon as I saw these wildflowers along the trail and the bench nearby, I knew there had to be a good image there somewhere.
Get the tripod low and organize the flowers to point the way down the trail to the bench - and beyond into the forest. Had to almost wrap the tripod legs around a very large tree; these flowers were growing at its base & the fit was tight. Use hyper focal distance to try to keep everything - front to back - in focus.
