Month #1 - Retrospective of Daily Photos posted from 5/04 to 12/09 (most viewers for the month).

I'm back after a two week break. For the next two months or so I plan a different approach for my daily photo. For the past five years the image posted was taken the same day (99% of the time). Winter, priority conflicts, and an upcoming big number 73 have dampened my enthusiasm for getting out everyday with my gear. So, I wiped the slate clean and am starting with 2010 Daily Photos where the first 60+ will be viewers' monthly favorites (most views) starting with May 2004. If I didn't agree with the viewers one month, I'll post back to back images for that month - viewers & mine. And the end of this little journey, I invite you to look at all of the images and see if you can see any change in quality or style as I evolved from a P&S beginner to whatever I am today.

So here we go with May of 2004. I had just gotten my first D-SLR but used my Nikon 5700 P&S for this image. I have always been fascinated with macros so this is an appropriate beginning. I guess, judging by the placement of the subject, some basic composition rules had begun to register.
