The ICF SW-77 is my replacement for the ageing (and I think fading) ICF SW-100. Production started 1991 on this model and lasted at least 10 years. The last of a distinguished line in Sony SW portables over the last 30 years or so, this was Sony's last and greatest (although some may give that mantle to the CRF-1 or ICF-2010).

As far as performance and ease of use this portable satisfies all my (undemanding) listening requirements. not being a DXer I'm quite happy with a SINPO 55555 for BBC World Service :)
