Balloon festivals are a lot of fun to shoot! Typically there is a mass launch at dawn and there
are usually interesting photo opportunities as the pilot and crew first begin to fill the envelope
(the balloon) with hot air prior to the launch and again as the pilot ignites the burner to
gain more altitude as the balloon ascends. If there is a lake nearby it's not unusual at
some point for the balloonists to "kiss" the surface of the water with their gondolas.
