Eastern rim

Eastern view over the crater from Haakon VII topp/2277m.
You see the eastern crater rim with from the left:
Gjuvtinden/2113m, Hakluyttoppen N/2203m, Hakluyttoppen S/2173m, Mercantontoppen/2188.
Watch those nice crevasse patterns where the Weyprecht glacier breaks out of the crater to the north.
Also note the shadow of the western rim on the crater bottom (where I'm standing on its highest point)!

Olympus E-3, ZD 7-14@7mm, F5.6, 1/2500s IS, ISO 100, EV -0.3, handheld full exif

Erik, this lateral opening on the rim that allows the glacier to flow downwards reminds me the lateral opening of Mt. St. Helen (WA, USA) produced by the huge 1980 sideways eruption/collapse. Am I totally wrong? - c.a.t.
