While cleaning a bamboo chime on the back yard, my partner discovered a big black wasp's nest inside one of the chime tubes. More than a dozen dead spiders of this kind were in the cavities. Are they food for the wasp? I never noticed them before around the house. Are they dangerous to humans?

We have two webs, one in the front and one in the back of our house. If they eat mosquitos, they are the best of friends of our neighborhood as long as they are non-poisonous.
