Perkiomen Trail

The Perkiomen Trail is a multi-use trail located primarily on the former right-of-way of the Reading Railroad Perkiomen Branch. The trail approximately parallels PA Route 29 and the Perkiomen Creek in Montgomery County.

The Montgomery County (PA) website offers a map and alerts on any closures or detours.

If you've ever tried it, you know that bike riding doesn't easily lend itself to taking pictures, which makes this collection even more remarkable. These are all great shots. Since these pictures were taken, all the mile markers have been replaced with easier-to-read poles. The gravel sections are, unfortunately, still gravel. Cinders would have been a better choice--maybe when it's time to resurface it.
