Original image taken 31 july 2010 on Rollei IR400 with an IR760 filter using a Bronica SQ-A
with 80mm f/2.8 Zenzanon PS lens. The print, on Ilford MGIV fiber-based paper is toned
with KRST and hinged behind a 10.3 x 10.3 inch window, mounted in an 16 x 20 inch frame.
The subject is a former Pennsylvania RR bridge crossing the Perkiomen Creek near Oaks, PA.
Just beyond the arch is the junction of the Schuylkill River Trail and the Perkiomen Trail,
both recreational trails paralleling their respective waterways on (mostly) former railroad
grades. The Schuylkill River Trail loops to the left, then up over the bridge and eastward
(to the right of this shot) toward Valley Forge and Philadelphia.
August 2010: This piece was accepted into the 2010 "Scenes of the Schuylkill
River Heritage Area" art show and sale, a juried exhibition.
October 2010: This piece was accepted into the PVAC 55th Open Juried Exhibition
where it received a 1st Prize in the graphics category.
