Although square dancing was corny to us then,this was,and still is, very much a part of small-town Canada. Dances that had form and structure were actually nice to watch and participate in. Probably nobody could name any of the dancers as they were JUST the anonymous grown-ups ,to us,who worked and lived their lives making our little town function and grow into the activities and opportunities we all took for granted. I can appreciate all this now,and I don't snicker anymore at the "country" beat. Good pic . Party on...or whatever square dancers say...swing your partner dosey doh...
