The Purton Hulks

Yes, sounds like a race of green giants...but far more interesting in fact: these are the beached and dead skeletal remains of boats, barks, barges et al, lodged in the banks of the River Severn, I think placed there in the middle of the last century to help shore up the, er...shore.
Weird and wide-skyed, with the sighing of the grasses, this is an atmospheric spot and like most such places, decaying quite rapidly. A nice wide lens is a must here, though of course one needs a tight handle on metering. The hulks; incredible.
