Im interested in knowing how much rainfall Kalalau Valley gets in a year and in knowing maximum and minimum temperatures of the place. What kinds of fruits are found here? Are there any Centipedes Scorpions and venomous spiders? Are there any ticks? Do the mosquitoes there transmit any diseases? What kinds of birds live there? What kinds of lizards live there? What kinds of mammals live there? What is the altitude at different locations in the valley? The same information would be nice to have for Kalalau Beach. Are there any freshwater springs in Kalalau Valley which are safe to drink from? If so where exactly are they and do they flow from the side of a rock or do they flow from the ground like a pool? The springs that flow from the ground like a pool can easily be contaminated while the springs that flow from the side of a rock are more likely to be safe for drinking. One source says Kalalau Beach at sea level has 60F at its lowest temperature while another source says that the upper elevations of Kalalau Valley can get to be freezing in winter. It seems that Kalalau Beach is warmer and drier with less rainfaill and Kalalau Valley is cooler and wetter with more rainfall and it seems that the eastern and southern parts of Kalalau Valley are wetter with more rainfall than the western side. Notice the vegetation on the eastern side is more lush than on the western side of the valley. I love Kalalau.
