Ura is the housing town belonging to the temples at Olbia Diocaesarea, and has been identified as the Ura that is already mentioned in Hittite sources. The road I took was a well-preserved Roman road. The road passes through a necropolis, with the tops of sarcophagi strewn about. Ura itself houses the ruins of a number of large constructions, some of them churches. I could not make a proper tour, since I had to hurry (walk uphill, that is) back to catch a bus in time from Uzuncaburç. So these pictures are in no way representative (though I wonder if I missed much, if you do not have plenty of time I think it is advisable to stay in Uzuncaburç).
URA
