The murals in the Sultan Beyazıt II Türbesi (mausoleum) date from the 19th century; they are a mixture of Late-Ottoman calligraphy and an architectural decor in ‘Turkish Baroque’ style, which was influenced by European Neo-Classicism (and more specifically here by the French ‘Nouvel Empire’ style).
