Harbiye is where most of the great mosaics in the museum come from, and was somewhat nice when I went there first, 1992. In March 2005 I came ahead of season, it looked desolate, but had the potential to be more lively. I wonder if I would like it better, it looked as if it would turn into one of those cheap tourist-traps: restaurants all over the place, most of the rest were souvenir shops. I did not bother to climb down to what is the nicest part: a number of tea-gardens and restaurants amidst artificial streams, they were too depressing off season. During the season they will be refreshingly cool, so don't let me put you off going there. It's just a couple of miles from Antakya.
This is a view of a pool that will fill up later, not my cup of tea either.
