I was informed the text above the military man, a centurio, reads "Truly that (man) was the Son of God", as written in Marc 15:39. Luke 23:47 has the man say instead "Surely, this man was innocent".

The Wikipedia has on centurion: A centurion (Latin: centurio; Greek: κεντυρίων), also hecatontarch in Greek sources (Greek: ἑκατόνταρχος or, in Byzantine times, κένταρχος) was a professional officer of the Roman army after the Marian reforms of 107 BC. Most centurions commanded 83 men despite the commonly assumed 100, but senior centurions commanded cohorts, or took senior staff roles in their legion.

De naam Longinus wordt niet vermeld: het mannetje links heeft die al. Boven de militair staat: "Waarlijk, die (man) was de Zoon van God - de honderdman (= centurio)"
