This villa gave an indication of what the house of a wealthy citizen would have looked like in the late nineteenth, early twentieth century. It may well be the Atatürk Köskü, I simply don’t recall. If this were the case the villa dates from 1890-1903 and was built for the Karyannidis banking family. I recall some good cut glass decoration, sound living conditions, and some nice, though simple, Islamic ornaments.
